This in-person workshop is modules #6-7 of the Athletics Sport Coach Course. It is designed for coaches who work with athletes under the age of 16 and it covers the basics of Track & Field in all event groups. It falls into the NCCP Instruction Pathway.
For modules #1-4 of the Athletics Sport Coach Course, coaches should take the online Foundations of Coaching Course prior to attending this workshop.
In addition to learning event specific technical progressions, coaches will also discover the do's and don'ts of age-appropriate strength training and how to put together a weekly training program.
NOTE: Because this in-person workshop is being held on campus at the University of Lethbridge, all COVID protocols established by the University of Lethbridge will be in effect.
